‘46 Years’

This is one of 3 paintings that apart of a new body of work that includes some new mixed media techniques and layering that I am exploring. This painting portrays both of my parents hands, woven in string and felt symbolizing their bond for eternity. This was the renewing of their wedding vows on my mom’s 69th birthday, two days before she passed away from a rare form of Cancer.
